Forum > How have the same-sex law reforms impacted on you?

It is becoming clear that many same-sex couples may be negatively effected by the recent changes to laws relating to same-sex couples. This could be in regard to superannuation, entitlements from Centrelink, etc. 85 different laws have been amended to acknowledge same-sex couples. While the changes are welcomed the Australian Government has not implemented a 'grandfathering' clause to bring the changes in over time. The changes came into effect from 1 July 2009.

We encourage you to share your experiences, both positive and negative. Make a comment here or send us an email from the Contact Us section on the right of this page.
