The main way of getting HIV is through having anal sex without a condom or sharing of injecting equipment. The likelihood of getting HIV from having oral sex without a condom is low but not zero. There have been cases of HIV transmitted this way but it is usually where the person has had mouth ulcers or bad dental disease. However, you should remember that other sexually transmitted infections can be transmitted through oral sex.
