The MAN2MAN Program was established in Tasmania to provide men who are in2 men with easy access to important and reliable information on health and lifestyle related matters.
Formally known as the Gay Men's Health Program, the Tasmanian Council on AIDS, Hepatitis and Related Diseases acknowledged the importance of broadening this to encompass all men who are attracted to other men. This includes men who consider themselves as bi-sexual, curious or heterosexual but do have sex with guys from time-to-time. MAN2MAN is a program of TasCAHRD
What do we do?
- Produces the popular MAN2MAN magazine each quarter as an avenue to provide useful information about health issues relevant for men in2 men;
- Conduct online outreach in chat sites accessed by men in2 men that provides a confidential way of interacting and receiving health information, particularly regarding sexual health and safe sex;
- Provide information sessions in the community regarding the prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among gay men and other men in2 men; and
- conduct health promotion campaigns targeting gay men and other men in2 men in Tasmania.
